Instead of simply stating facts, here's a story about McDonald's cruelty.
EIEIO. Want cruelty
with that?

Once upon a time there was a sweet little place called Old McDonald's farm. It was a happy place... The cows were free range and chewed cud without a care in the world, the chickens lived in wooden chicken coops and produced plenty of eggs, and a moo moo here and a cluck cluck there were never unusual at all. They all lived happily ever after...until Old McDonald grew greedy and things began to change.
The chickens got outside less and less, and the grazing pastures were over packed. And faster than a blink of the eye, the McDonald’s farm was not pleasant at all; the chickens were packed together and forced to gain weight, the cows that were used to roaming the prairie were put in enormous feedlots with no room to move.
Old McDonald changed his farm operation. In recent months, unhappy hogs and floppy (but equally unhappy) fish were added. They were mistreated as well, and life at the farm got worse and worse. Soon, the chickens and cows were in despair. They hated their new life. “Old McDonald was such a nice man,” they thought. “Such a tragedy that he’s now cruel and inhumane.” But there was nothing they could do.
Today Old McDonald is up to no good as usual. The chickens are not killed with an ax and a stump anymore, they are dumped off a truck, which causes broken bones, shackled upside down by workers (who sometimes abuse the birds), are moved to a stun tank (which stuns most but not all of the birds), then slits their throats, which is very painful for those who are awake. The birds that move their heads out of the way are killed moments later in a defeathering tank. They are scalded to death.
The cows meet a similarly devastating end. They are fed until they weigh much more than normal. Some cannot even stand up because their weight gain was too rapid or they are too sick. Those cattle are prodded with an electric cattle prod to stand up because the slaughterhouses will not take cattle too fat or sick to stand. The cattle are then stunned on a similar conveyor belt type setup.
Although Mr. McDonald says they are all stunned
successfully, some of the cattle are still wide awake after the
stunning. That means millions of cattle every year are slaughtered
while they are wide awake. And it’s all done under the watchful eye
of greedy Old McDonald.
And don’t think the pigs and fish get off easier, either. Baby pigs have their tails cut off without antiseptic. Otherwise due to horrible conditions they would bite each other’s tails off. Baby pigs are usually affable but due to severe overcrowding they are not happy at all. They are killed in a similar way while they’re still young. The fish are raised in overcrowded, murky pools with barely enough room to move.
When will the cycle ever end? It’s a deadly cycle. McDonald’s is crueler to their animals to make the job cheaper, they sell the inhumanely slaughtered animals for a greater profit, and their profit goes to making cheaper and more ways to raise their animals. It will almost certainly not end, abusing countless animals in a very inhumane manner to satisfy a growing desire for people to have a fast, inexpensive meal. To the animals, there's nothing happy about that Happy Meal.
