Koa Halpern
Koa Halpern is the founder and president of Try a Bite and Fast Food Free. He is an
accelerated high school student.
His hybrid school program includes home schooling
along with attending Arapahoe Community College and Options School. In addition to
volunteering with Fast Food Free and Try a Bite, he is a docent at the Denver Museum
of Nature and Science.
His extracurricular activities include First Robotics, National
History Day, Denver Young Artist Orchestra, C.R.A.S.H. model rocket club and NASA
Inspire.
Koa's special interests include Astronomy and Rocketry.
His hobbies include
first and foremost reading as well as hiking, tennis, biking, sketching, world travel,
camping, cartooning, and hanging out with friends.
